About the 409
The 409 boutique venue is a 2100 sq. foot structure. Our building is a great option for an event that is too large to be held at a home, but not quite fitting for a larger venue.
The 409 offers you the freedom to host your own event. Including the freedom to choose a caterer and/or prepare your own dishes to serve your guests. Our on site kitchenette is equipped with sinks and refrigeration for your food storage needs.
The building has a long rich history in the east Lawrence community. It was once a corner market, a laundry mat and a café. The 409 has original tin ceilings and gas lamps; yet it has been updated to be the perfect backdrop for your event.
Kitchenette
Kitchenette on site for food and beverage storage use. Clients have access to this room.
Parking lot & Street Parking
We have a private parking lot available for use, along with street parking close to the venue.
Historical Touch
We embrace the history that this building has been through, and love that we can repurpose this building for your special events
